Print bed automation from OTTOMAT3D, manufactured by LDO. The OTTOeject MK1 pulls the finished plate off your printer, racks it in storage, and loads a clean bed so the next job starts without you standing there. Open source, and it runs alongside the printer you already own.
When a job finishes, the gantry slides the plate out with the part still attached, sets it into the storage rack, and pulls a clean bed into position. The printer picks up from there and starts the next file on its own.
Repeat that loop and one machine turns into an overnight production run. Stack up your jobs and the system works through them plate by plate, holding every finished print until you get back to it.
Tested on Bambu Lab, Prusa, Creality, Flashforge and Elegoo hardware
The OTTOeject sits beside your printer rather than replacing it, so nothing you have already invested in goes to waste. OTTOMAT3D tests new models continuously and the confirmed list keeps growing. Enclosed machines are covered as well: the system opens and closes the printer door as part of each cycle, so you are not restricted to open-frame designs.
Confirmed working
OTTOMAT3D adds new models on a rolling basis, so check with us if yours is not listed yet.
Adjust placement, footprint and storage capacity
Where the unit sits, how much room it takes up, and how many plates the rack holds are all yours to change. Keep it tight against a single printer where space is short, or extend the storage for longer unattended sessions that run without a break.
One interface for your printers, your jobs and your OTTOeject units
OTTOengine is the control software behind the system. It handles smart queue management, monitors print jobs while they run, and communicates directly with both your printers and your OTTOeject hardware. Add a second or third machine and they stay coordinated from the same screen instead of each one needing its own attention.
OTTOMAT3D walks through the full build from the first extrusion to the finished machine.
Will it work with my printer?
Most FDM printers are compatible. The models listed above have been tested extensively and OTTOMAT3D continues to add more.
My printer has a door rather than an open frame. Is that a problem?
No. The OTTOeject opens and closes printer doors automatically as part of the cycle.
Do I need technical skills to set it up?
If you can set up a Bambu Lab or Prusa printer, no additional skills are needed.
Can one system manage several printers?
Yes. Multiple printers can be run simultaneously through OTTOengine, with documentation and any additional parts supplied as required.
How much maintenance does it need?
Very little, provided it has been set up correctly.
Are more modules planned?
Yes. OTTOMAT3D has further modules, features and designs in development.
