The Nitehawk Hexa 6+1 USB Adapter combines USB hub functionality with power distribution for multi-toolhead 3D printing systems.
This compact PCB integrates six USB adapter connections, USB 2.0 hub capabilities, and 24V power splitting in one unit. Designed specifically for IDEX and toolchanger configurations, the Hexa provides streamlined power and communication management across multiple USB-based toolboards.
Simplified wiring: Single 24V power cable (included) and standard USB-C connection handles power and communication for up to 6 toolboards.
Easy installation: Works like a standard USB hub with no additional software, drivers or setup configuration needed.
Additional USB-A port: Extra downstream USB-A port accepts any standard USB device including webcams, flash drives or Arduino boards.
High current capacity: Built for demanding multi-toolhead setups with 30A rating, heavy-duty screw terminal and dedicated pwr/gnd planes.
Individual port protection: Each downstream port features data line protection and a replaceable fuse, with upstream USB-C protected by standard ESD protection circuits.
Toolboard Compatibility
The following toolboards have full plug 'n play compatibility with Nitehawk Hexa. No modifications required.
In theory, the Nitehawk Hexa is compatible with any Klipper toolboard that uses USB communication. However, it is vital that the umbilical cable pinout match the Hexa's configuration. Always confirm pinout and wiring are correct before powering up your system.
